From our guests Rosie and Ian
Read the travel report, of our guests Rosie and Ian, who celebrated their 35 years of marriage in the fall of 2024 with an unforgettable bike tour around Lake Constance.
On this trip, the two cycling enthusiasts not only discovered the picturesque shores of the lake but also enjoyed the beautiful nature, charming gardens, and cozy towns along the way.
Their journey took them to enchanting places such as Reichenau and Überlingen, where they were able to enjoy the relaxed flair and regional specialties to the fullest.

We've just completed possibly our favourite cycling holiday so far. We were celebrating 35 years of marriage.
Radweg-Reisen were helpful and efficient from the very start. They didn't get flustered when one minute we needed parking for our campervan in their car-park and the next minute we didn't (we changed our campervan for a longer one which didn't fit in their car-park). We found a lovely farm to keep it on for the week at Zelglihof, Ermatingen, Switzerland - a 30 minute downhill cycle ride away.

We loved all of the category B hotels around the lake that were booked for us and thought the holiday was excellent value for money. Each was our favourite in someway - perhaps the comfiest bed, best breakfast, largest room, nicest receptionist, most central or best view. They were all unique.
Our breakfasts were so hearty they kept us going until dinner time, just stopping for a banana or muesli bar to refuel us.

Our favourite places were Reichenau (which we actually had time to explore the day before our trip officially started as we had our own bikes) and Überlingen. Reichenau had a quiet charm and community feel with narrow winding streets and lots of greenhouses growing vegetables. Überlingen had beautiful gardens, a conservatory just for cacti and a lovely promenade to walk along.
It was fun to spot the airship from our bikes most days and also interesting to visit the Zeppelin museum at Friedrichshafen.
The whole route was easy to follow from the signs. We rarely had to consult the map other than to check where we would rest our heads that night.
Our bags were efficiently and carefully transported from place to place.
Thank you Radweg-Reisen!
Ian and Rosie
